Our one-of-a-kind hats are handcrafted from a quarter of a pound of homegrown wool that is hand-felted within an inch of its life into the warmest, waterproof, most durable hat that you will ever want to wear! Our hats come in a basic large or small, and are able to be adjusted to a custom fit (SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW).

Our hats come in a variety of colors, blended from our batt list below, with either a white or heather grey background. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee return policy on all of our hats. Even if you attempt to size it yourself, and it's still not the best hat you've ever worn, return it for a full refund. Our hats are available at Hannah Grimes Market on Main St., Keene, Stonewall Farm, or of course, you can always get one from the Keene Farmer's Market, or at Wool Fest '06.

TO ADJUST THE SIZE OF ONE OF YOUR SUNPOWER HAT

If you have already purchased one of our hats, and would like to adjust it, you'll need a vegetable steamer and a pot of boiling water, a bath towel, and a pair of rubber gloves. Steam your hat for a good five minutes to relax the fibers, the remove it wearing your rubber gloves so that you don't get burned. If your hat it too large, roll it up into a tube and rock it back and forth on your towel 10-15 times. By then, it should be cool enough to pull onto your head for a custom fit. If the hat is too small, gently stretch the steamed hat a couple of inches at a time, and pull it onto your head when it has cooled for a couple of minutes. Leave the hat on your head until it is completely cool for a custom fit.

WOOL BATTS FOR FELTING $2.00 each

Our 1 oz. wool batts come in a rainbow of colors, and are specially handled and blended with the hand felter in mind. Our wool is a blend of Border Leicester and other medium grade wools which are superior for both wet and needle felting. Our wool is hand-washed, dyed and coarse-carded right on the farm, leaving much of the natural locks and color variations intact, giving an exciting art medium for felters.

We also sell curly border leicester locks (perfect for hair and beards for needle felting) in white, blond, black, brown, grey, purple and green.
